Since I started this blog 4 years ago, people are asking more about me. The most asked question is what I do to stay young?
To have a healthy lifestyle is not something that happens by chance, is not hard after a while but requires commitment and discipline. I usually start my day with a quick shower and a fruit juice followed of some light exercises and then a bowl of fruits with yogurt, two hours after that breakfast I get an energetic snack, something like wholegrain bread with peanut butter, a very thin piece of bread and a very little amount of peanut butter. If I am at work, I take 2 or 3 minutes to stretch my body and if possible I also walk 15 minutes at lunch. But let´s talk in detail about a healthy lunch.
I rather bring my own food than eat at anyplace close to my job place, so what I use to put in my lunch bag is:
Two little salty salads that usually are a mixture of three of any of these ingredients: chops of cucumber, apple chunks, some lettuce, carrot sticks, celery sticks, spinach, minced pimento, minced onion, minced garlic with fresh cilantro, I always season them with a bit of olive oil, black pepper and very little of salt. This tasty salad brings vitamins and minerals that will help you to keep the rhythm. I eat them one in the morning and one in the afternoon as snacks.
Two fruit salads that usually are a mixture of three of any of these ingredients: Chops of watermelon, chops of pineapple, minced strawberry, chopped apple, chopped pear, raisins and walnuts. I always add a little amount of honey to them and try to eat them one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
For lunch I have different options: Eggplant Pizza, Taco salad and Tuna pita sandwich are some of my favorite ones but we will talk about them in detail the very next time.
I rather wake up 1 hour earlier than miss my daily session at gym, I combine aerobic exercise with dancing and spinning but always practice pilates at least three times a week.
If you ask me if I recommend this routine I will do it 100% confident that after 4 weeks of doing so your life will be totally different.
