The “cosmetic cop” – Paula Begoun – is being reviewed today, it’s time to review the “Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator” of Paula’s Choice.
I use to be such a fan of Paula Begoun. She has written many books and did numerous TV-appearances. Nowadays she is very busy marketing her own product line. She does this by reviewing her own products (yes, she is marking her own papers) and telling how other products suck.
Don’t get me wrong, her site (Paula’s Choice) is an excellent source for free anti-aging advice, like her myth on drinking water, but the reviews are all based on getting money out of your pocket in to her bank account. If you google “Paula Begoun Fake” you will find hundreds of people that share my opinion.
Paula’s Choice – RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator REVIEW
We have tested the “RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator”, which is branded as an Anti-Aging product. It’s not expensive ($27 for 1.7 fl. oz. /50 mL), comparing it with some other brands. But like my mother always use to say; “anything is expensive if it’s not good, no matter how low the price”. This product belongs in a 1-dollar-store and I will tell you why.
First of all, it’s not moisturizing. Six out of Seven woman reported a silicone feeling and a sticky skin after using it. Paula says this silicone lends an “elegant texture” to it, we couldn’t disagree more. What concerns us even more is some of the cheap, useless and irritated ingredients it contains. For instance; an extremely high concentration of the silicon named cyclopentasiloxane, which belongs in a shampoo or a conditioner. It’s a cheap way to let your skin feel silky, but all it does is “block your skin from breathing”.
But the worst part of using this product are the irritations some of us experienced. One of the girls even had break outs all over her lower chin. It looked terrible. Last but not least, it doesn’t do your wrinkles any good, it just doesn’t work. It seems like it that Paula Begoun is a “crooked cosmetic cop” which only write reviews for her own interest….
Lets talk about the positive sides of Paula’s Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator
It’s fragrance free and you don’t have to wait long until it’s delivered at your door. Plus she doesn’t test her products on animals! That’s it…
Note: After reading this review you would probably think we don’t like Paula Begoun. Actually we love her as a person, but we just hate this product. And we just can’t believe she is responsible for such a terrible product.
* Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator is tested on 7 woman, with different skin types.
