A healthy sex life is essential to a healthy life. But can it actually make you look younger by having tons of sex and is this proven? Is Sex the New Anti-Aging Secret?
Some people look ten years younger than they actually are, and one of the secrets is a healthy sex-live. Different studies done in the past, have shown why this is the case. I have listed 4 important points, which make the most sense.
1) Sex protects you against stress.
Stress is so bad for you, that it even can damage your cells. A study done in 2012 by PLOSone showed that work-related stress eventually leads to early aging. When you have quality sex you will feel good, this is because the body produces endorphins, which will “fight” against stress.
2) Sex makes you sleep better.
The oxytocin hormone released during sex promotes sleep. A good night sleep will let you look better during the day.
3) Sex boosts your immune system.
Sex helps the immune system by increasing the flow of certain chemicals in the body. Your body isn’t busy anymore fighting off infections all the time, which eventually is beneficial for your body and skin.
4) Sex keeps you fit.
Having sex burns down calories. And we know that exercise is very important if you want to stay young forever.
