Avocado as a Moisturizer

Avocado nutrients include vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and iron. These, along with the high levels of fatty acids and natural emollients, can moisturise and enhance the complexion to help keep the skin young, radiant and smooth.

Avocado has proven to be an effective moisturizer especially for people with sensitive skin. Can be used as a night cream or as a daily moisturizer with other ingredients such as oil Sunflower, Shea butter, and aloe. This creates a rich, nutritious product that nourish and moisturise our skin.

In addition to its moisturizing properties, avocado can help nourish and moisturise the skin. For a homemade solution to achieve a soft and supple skin, you can make a face mask enriched with vitamins and minerals by macerating half avocado and 1 to 2 teaspoons of water. This skin care recipe can be modified for dry skin by adding a teaspoon of honey, or for oily skin, by adding a teaspoon of lemon juice. You can enhance it with vitamin E. Their combination of natural ingredients can help you maintain a healthier, vibrant looking complexion.

Anti-aging

Given its rejuvenating antioxidant properties, avocados are incorporated as ingredients of some anti-aging creams, especially for the delicate area around the eyes. To treat annoying bags under the eyes, a quick home remedy is to place 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) avocado slices under each eye for about 20 minutes. This cream will help rejuvenate the skin and provides the hydration needed to keep lines of expression and crow’s feet controlled.

Exfoliating

In addition to its moisturizing, nourishing and anti-aging properties, avocado can also be used as a gentle and natural exfoliant, one that is especially useful for sensitive or dry skin. For a homemade option, mix avocado, egg white, two tablespoons of oatmeal and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Spread on your face and let it act for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

I also like to eat some avocado mixed with onion, olive oil, black pepper and some curcumin powder, as a little snack on Wednesdays. You can choose your own day and ingredients.
