Paris Hilton Just Launched a Skincare Line, named ProD.N.A

Skincare is big business and Paris Hilton is an entrepreneur, that’s why she just launched a skincare line, named ProD.N.A.

A TV-star, a dj, the daughter of Richard Hilton is known for many things. Now Paris Hilton also started an anti-aging skincare line named ProD.N.A.

In a recent interview with Forbes she talks about the process to start your own skincare brand:  “I found a partner and spent time with a team of chemists at a lab in Los Angeles going through all of the products that I liked that gave me results and we created formulations from amazing ingredients. I used my own skincare regimen to put together the first line and then we spent over a year perfecting the formulas, the packaging and the marking plan. It was a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun and it is exciting to be able to see this product line on the market and see the amazing reactions from everyone when they use it.”

Let’s take a look on Parishiltonskincare.com

Her website just launched last week so we took a look. The vision is probably written by Paris, because it’s vague and not unique in ANY way: “Our vision is to supply the world with an effective and natural solution to aging skin. With our product, we hope to help people revitalize their skin from the inside out, bringing our customers confidence and a healthy complexion.”
Hmmm… oke…. I guess….

Let’s see what the ProD.N.A skincare does:
“The ProD.N.A. line is built upon GenoMatrix™, a revolutionary formulation of those same powerful enzymes derived from marine microalgae and a complex or natural active ingredients. This proprietary concentration penetrates deep within the layers of skin to support the body’s natural DNA repair mechanism to counteract the effects of aging from the inside out.”

Sounds very technical… Paris says: “The proprietary complex of enzymes that are from micro algae from the Mediterranean Sea. The enzymes support the skins natural DNA repair process.”
Unfortunately there is no evidence to back this up…

Let’s take a look at the ingredients of the ProD.N.A Face & Décolletage Cream:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Squalane, Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Polyglyceryl-3 Stearate, Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Synechococcus Elongatus Lysate Filtrate (Plankton Extract), Jojoba Esters, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Euterpe Oleracea (Açaí) Fruit Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Nymphaea Coerulea (Blue Lotus) Flower Extract, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Palmitic Acid, Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Seed Oil, Phospholipids, Terminalia Ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Tuber Aestivum (White Truffle) Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Lecithin, Phenethyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate, Propanediol, Sodium Anisate, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Metabisulfite, Stearic Acid, Sucrose, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbic Acid.

Ok, I have to be honest, this ingredient list is impressive, it looks like ProD.N.A didn’t used any harmful ingredients and could actually be good. We will do a review soon!
