Michael Kors buys Versace for over 2 billion dollar

The American company Michael Kors has bought the famous Italian brand for 2.1 billion dollars (1.8 billion euros).

The parent company Michael Kors official name is now Capri Holdings. Michael Kors, also has some skincare products which are not really selling well…

With the purchase of Versace, Capri, which already bought shoe brand Jimmy Choo last year, continues to build its luxury group.

The Versace family receives 150 million dollars of the purchase price in Capri shares. Founder Gianni Versace was murdered in 1997 in Miami. Since then, his sister Donatella has been designing all collections. Brother Santo led the business side for a long time.
