The Elemis skincare brand is for sale CNBC says. Elemis is a skincare brand from the UK, which started to sell at cruise ships 22 years ago.  Investment bank Jefferies Group is asked by Elemis to explore a sale of the business.

Today, Elemis is available at over 100 retail locations and at over 1,400 spas worldwide, including its flagship day spas in London, Miami and Hong Kong. The brand was founded in 1990 by Linda Steiner and Noella Gabriel, its director of product and treatment development. Its parent company is Steiner Leisure Ltd, a Miami-based company that specialises in spa operations, product developmentas well as spa design and therapy.

They have grown a lot the past 22 and make over $ 50 million in sales a year.

Elemis was acquired by L Catterton’s predecessor, Catterton, in 2015, when the private equity firm acquired Elemis’ parent, Steiner Leisure, for $925 million, including debt.
