ForuGarnier dare to offer long-lasting hydration with the product I have on my hands. Let´s see what we know about Garnier before trusting them and their promises. The first fact is that they are owned by y L’Oréal and they produce mass market cosmetics, so nothing to do with products such the ones that claim being processing collectives in western Africa, supporting economic recovery but also natural harvesting traditions, no they are promoting upcycling of product containers and the introduction of biodegradable products, but that´s it they are still a big company focused on profits which means buy cheap sell high, absolutely nothing against that but seems to be important nowadays.
– The packaging
The Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel comes in a glass jar and I have to poke my fingers in it all the time. Bacteria love to grow in the nice watery substance. Too bad, because the packaging is quite nice and simple.
– The ingredients
Dimethicone (one of the main ingredients) traps dirt and bacteria and therefore this is supposed to get you a moisturized skin and uncongested pores. It’s a cheap way to make a skincare product if you ask me.
What they suggest is to apply Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream every morning and night to face after clean your skin. the texture is OK, no more than that, I strongly recommend often rotate moisturizers at night. This product is very, very watery, fragrance is pretty strong thanks, it fades as it absorbs.
– The results
Fairly hydrating, does feel refreshing and the texture is watery and gel-like. For about 10 minutes… Max…
– The downsides
Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel has a mint smell and you might like it but I don´t like perfumes or anything similar on my products. After two weeks started smelling like alcohol and artificial cucumbers. The gel is just not good.
Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel has a special place among my other junk-products-I-will-never-use-again. And I am giving it 2 stars out of 5.
