The Mint Julep Masque by Queen Helene is one of the most well known facial masks, so time for a review!
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque has been on the market for years and it’s known for it’s cheap price, but is it any good?
After having the same packaging for over 20 years, Queen Helene has finally upgraded the packaging for the Mint Julep Masque. Much better if you ask us!
Applying the mask
Applying the Mint Julep Masque you smell a strong mint, which is actually nice, but a little too strong. Queen Helene did an excellent job making it easy to apply with the tube by the way.
This masks has a little burning sensation when applied, but this isn’t too bad. Washing it of you feel that it’s quite drying and your skin feels tight.
Drawing out of impurities is not as good as you would expect from a mud mask, however it makes your skin feel fresh. The Mint Julep Masque dries your skin out, so it’s best to use it if you have an oily skin.
Your skin will definitely feel clean after using this as it basically just sucks all the oil out. But it may be harsh for people with more sensitive skin.
It’s definitely not the best mask out there but for the money spend you can give this facial mask of Queen Helene a try.
+ Cheap, very cheap!
+ Nice Smell
+ Fresh feeling after using
- Doesn't work for blackheads
- Dries your skin out
- Not "something special"
