The Face Place in 1976 in San Francisco´s Mission District used to sell a lip tint called “Rose tint” and this was originally created the rose-flushed tint for an exotic dancer who was in need of a nipple tint years after and over 10 million bottles sold they are known as the creators of BeneFit Cosmetics Ooh la lift! Which we are reviewing today.
The packaging
BeneFit Cosmetics always uses nice minimalistic designs on there packaging, and this is also the case with the “Ooh la lift!” Ow I love this name so much; “Ooh la lift!”
The ingredients
Titanium Dioxide is one of the top fifty chemicals produced worldwide pointed as a carcinogen however the truth is that there are no known adverse effects when used in cosmetics, and approved by the FDA when 99% pure, I personally have no problems using products that contain Titanium Dioxide, since it is good to protect skin from UVA and UVB radiation.
Applying
Apply some to the back of my hand (roughly 2 full swipes) and then apply half the amount of concealer I would normally use, and then blend the two together. Enjoy the momentary cooling effect.
The results
Creates a really good base for the concealer, it doesn’t let the concealer suck out all the moisture from your skin so the skin looks more moisturized and overall better. of course it’s not going to cover anything unless is applied under a concealer, over a concealer, or mixed in with a concealer to add extra brightness.
The downsides
You still need a good concealer and they should have advertised it as a de-puffing product instead a brightening product. Come on Benefit, it’s raining complaints all over internet, time to re-invent this beauty!
Conclusion
Makes undereye circles NOT less noticeable, also be sure to use it in the proper way otherwise you will have grew stuff under your eyes and it will make it worse! Just three small dots under each eye is enough. There are wayyyyy better products on the market than the Ooh la lift! Sorry Benefit Cosmetics… #sorrynotsorry
